Atoms ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a browser extension for SEO analysis and CSS inspection. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection

What the extension accesses locally:

Page content: Atoms reads the HTML, CSS, and metadata of web pages you visit to provide SEO analysis and CSS inspection features. This data is processed entirely within your browser and is never sent to external servers.
License information: Your license key and activation status are stored locally in Chrome's sync storage to enable the extension's features across your browsers.

What we DO NOT collect:

Browsing history
Personal information
Analytics or usage data
Page content or URLs you visit
Cookies or tracking data

Permissions Explained

"Read and change all your data on all websites"

This permission is required to:

Analyze page SEO elements (headings, images, links, meta tags)
Display inspection overlays on web pages
Extract CSS styles for inspection

We do not modify any website content. The "change" permission is technically required by Chrome to inject our UI overlays, but we only add visual elements for inspection purposes.

Third-Party Services

Paddle (Payment Processing)

When you purchase a license, payment is processed by Paddle.com. Paddle's privacy policy applies to payment transactions: paddle.com/legal/privacy

We receive only:

Transaction ID (for license validation)
Email address (associated with your license)

Data Storage

All extension data is stored locally using Chrome's storage API:

chrome.storage.local - Extension settings
chrome.storage.sync - License information (synced across your Chrome browsers)

Data Security

All license validation uses HTTPS encryption
No data is stored on external servers
License data syncs only through Chrome's built-in sync mechanism

Children's Privacy

Atoms is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy. Changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is no data to request, modify, or delete. Your license information can be removed by uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome's sync storage.
